The valley of the Nahe river between the wooded hills of the Hunsrück in the north and the Nordpfälzer Bergland in the south is one of the most diverse natural and cultural landscape in Germany. With its excellent vineyards, the numerous historical sites, the romantic rivers and creeks and the three spa towns Bad Kreuznach, Bad Münster am Stein-Ebernburg and Bad Sobernheim, it offers recreation and activities for the whole family.
In the vicinity of the campsite, you can find romantic wine villages, the ruins of the monastery Disibodenberg, the domain of Hildegard von Bingen, the Monfort Cstle ruins, the quicksilver mine Schmittenstollen, the open air museum Bad Sobernheim, a bare foot path, bicycle trolley tours and many more. You can visit the salines of Bad Kreuznach and Bad Münster with your car or your bike in just a few minutes, and the world-famous gem town Idar-Oberstein and the Soonwald forest are great destinations for a day trip.
